How a weekend hackathon project turned into an RFP automation system now being piloted by LBS Executive Education.
The Challenge
The LBS AI Agent Cup was a 48-hour hackathon focused on building practical AI agents. The brief was open-ended: build something that solves a real problem using AI agents.
Our team of three decided to tackle something we’d seen first-hand at LBS — the painful process of responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
What We Built
Scriva reads lengthy RFP documents, extracts the specific requirements, maps them against your organization’s capabilities, and drafts tailored responses. It doesn’t just summarize — it understands what’s being asked and crafts answers that address each requirement directly.
From Hackathon to Pilot
What surprised us most was the reaction from LBS Executive Education. They saw the demo and immediately asked: “Can we use this?” Within weeks, we had a pilot running with real RFP documents.
The lesson: the best hackathon projects solve problems that are already sitting on someone’s desk.
